Longcot Ocktaves – Sunday 22nd June

Tickets for a very special Spanish evening are now available.

Scriptwriter Nicola Harrison has collaborated with five world-class musicians and a narrator to weave the music of Granados, de Falla, Rodrigo and other Spanish composers into a compelling and passionate tale.

“It is evening and Jiraldo sits on the roof and watches the sun set over Seville. The air is heavy with the scent of jasmine, and bougainvillea trails over the walls, flecked with golden particles of dust that sparkle in the evening light. The murmurs of lovers rise up from the street, and the bright colours of girls’ dresses move like oblongs of life down the cobbled streets…”

“Ravishing music, exciting rhythms and an untraditional approach.” Oxford Times

There is an optional Pre-Booked two-course Spanish Supper afterwards at our village ‘taberna’, The King & Queen, at 8.15pm (£15 to include a generous £2 donation to Longcot 800).

Box Office: Tickets £17.50 each (to include glass of wine or elderflower) from the King & Queen, Longcot during opening hours or online or by post at www.longcotvillage.org orwww.longcotocktaves.eventbrite.co.uk.
