Longcot Village Walk 4 – Tuesday 2nd July, The Green. 6pm

The walk will explore the East of Longcot Parish and walkers have also been invited to visit and be shown Farmer Gow’s land and animals as well as a tour of the adjacent Tipi and Yurt Village. Dogs are ok on leads for the farm tour. The walk will finish at the King and Queen.

There will also be an extra wlak on Tuesday 16th July including geocaching and treasure hunt to kick of the week before the Longcot Ocktaves and Summer Fair.

Longcot Octaves – Friday 19th July in St Marys

The Big Lunch – Sunday 2nd June at 12 noon on the Green

Special events this weekend! Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May

Cream teas

There is another chance for a delicious cream tea on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May 2-5.30 at Plomers, The Green!
And have you been in to see  Dolly and Shaun the Sheep in the church yet?
Open each day with displays of work by our talented village artists alongside the flowers it is worth a visit.  And of course Artsweek continues with the three village studios open each day until Sunday.

Family Service

On Sunday 19th May, there will be a Benefice Family Service with Holy Communion at St Mary’s Church, Longcot, starting at 10.30am.  (Please note that this is later than normal.)  There will be refreshments in the church immediately after the service and then at midday there will be a Family Bring and Share Bar BBQ at Shrivenham Vicarage. All are welcome. Come and join in the celebrations, with food, fellowship and a few cold beers.

Longcot Village Walk – Tuesday 7th May, 6pm, The Green

All are welcome on First Tuesday in May, the 7th at 1800, starting on the Green.  This time for a longer circular trail of 6 km around South Longcot ; and ending with good cheer at The King & Queen, where maps are available. 

By popular demand, we invited Edward Leigh-Pemberton and he now plans to join us again to guide and discuss farming nad wildlife with our walkers on Walk02.

Library Bus – Fortnightly Thursday 2pm -2.15pm

Did you know that every other Thursday the Library Bus comes to Longcot? it can be found on The Green from 2pm to 2.15pm. It would be great if we can get some more people using it! The next visit is this Thursday 25th April at 2pm.
