King and Queen Pub

VWH Camra award 2016

Winner of Oxfordshire’s Best Traditional Pub award 2014 and Country Pub of the the Year 2016……

this proper lovely English country pub is run by Sally and Mark Goff. Having worked on the Kent/Sussex border for many years, Mark ran the 17th century moated manor house featured in Pride and Prejudice and was much in demand as a freelance Private Chef for a host of rich and famous clients, including Jemima Khan, Michael Flatley, Dougray Scott and Claire Forlianni.

Sally and Mark said “We married in Little Coxwell 10 years ago and are really delighted to be back in the area again with our three children, our aim is to make the King and Queen a warm, welcoming country pub that serves very good freshly prepared, wholesome and hearty food.

We have a great wine list from our multiple award winning supplier, local produce for the kitchen and well kept cask conditioned ales with the LocALE accreditation from CAMRA.”

The King and Queen now have twin and single bedrooms available for B & B. Many of the rooms have views of the White Horse Hill and offer tremendous quality with a breakfast to remember! To book or find out more details contact Mark or Sally.

  1. Love the comment about the rooms being ready for the next millenium, was hoping for maybe the next century??

I think Mark and Sally have made this pub the heart of the village. They have created a lovely friendly warm and cosy atmosphere a good place to get to know other villagers and bring your family and friends, chat and eat lovely food. What would we do without them and their pub.
